Tasmanian Harness Racing BOTRA
About BOTRA Tas
Tasmanian Harness Racing Breeders, Owners, Trainers and Reinspersons Association (BOTRA Tas) represents all aspects of the harness racing industry in Tasmania.
This site has been created for the information not only of BOTRA members, but also for the enjoyment of anybody and everybody interested in Tasmanian harness racing. Whether you are an owner, trainer, driver, breeder, punter or simply a fan of harness racing generally, we hope you will find something of interest here.
Tasmanian harness racing information
Major clubs, such as Tasmanian Pacing Club and Launceston Pacing Club, enjoy a high profile, hosting events such as the Hobart 2006 Inter Dominion Series. At the other end of the scale, there are harness racing clubs around Tasmania (such as Burnie Harness Racing Club shown left) working away through the efforts of their dedicated supporters, about whom little is known outside their immediate circle.
BOTRA Tas supports the efforts of clubs, large and small, by offering them the opportunity to publish news and information about their activities and achievements online here.
Something for everyone
BOTRA Tas hopes that you find this website a valuable resource for information about harness racing in Tasmania. One of our first priorities was to make race replays available online and we are delighted that this has come to fruition, at least for non-Sky meetings, with replays now available on the national harness racing site www.harness.org.au.
Don't miss our BOTRA Tas Harness Racing Blog, which gives everyone the opportunity to express their views on any aspect of harness racing in Tasmania.
If you have any suggestions about areas you would like to see covered or any other comments, you are invited to do so via our Blog or simply send us your feedback.
