Warnings to trainers
Harness Racing Victoria have issued two warnings which are of interest to Tasmanian trainers.
Firstly, Zilco has recalled six batches of its Premier Hopples due to concerns about the product's long term performance.
Secondly, positive swabs have recently been returned for prohibited substances Atropine and Scopolamine as a result of feeding lucerne hay contaminated by the plant Thorn Apple. This weed is found in parts of Tasmania and a description may be found here.
More information on these two items may be found on page 71 of the Harness Racer June 2010 edition.
